            Fotini Athanassaki was born in Athens and received her Classical Singing Diploma in January 2013 with Honors and a First Prize with Mezzo Soprano Margaret Syngeniotou.

            She has performed the roles of : Azucena n G. Verdi’s “Il Trovatore”, Neris in L. Cherubini’s “Medea”, Zia Principessa in G. Puccini’s “Suor Angelica”, Mamma Lucia in P. Mascagni’s “Cavalleria Rusticana” and Mrs Herring in B. Britten’s “Albert Herring”.

She has also sung the Mezzo/Alto part in A. Vivaldi’s  “Gloria” with Athens City Orchestra,  M. A. Charpentier’s “Messe de Minuit pour Noel”, G. B. Pergolesi’s “Stabat Mater”,  C. Saint-Saens’s “Oratorio de Noel”, C. Monteverdi’s  “Messa a quattri voci da cappella” and experts from V. Bellini’s “Zaira”,  G. Verdi’s “Un Ballo In Maschera”, “Traviata” and “Il Trovatore”, W.A Mozart’s “Zauberflote”, G. Verdi’s “Requiem”, W. A. Mozart’s “Requiem”,  G. Rossini’s “Stabat Mater” and “Pettite Messe Sollenelle” and G.F. Haendel’s “Messiah”.

She has been collaborating with the Greek National Opera since 2011.

The summers of 2012, 2013 and 2015 participated in the “Festival of the Aegean” where she performed with Padardzhik Symphony Orchestra (Sofia) and the National Symphonic Orchestra of Ballet and Opera of Tirana under the Baguette of G. Palikarov, P. Tiboris and F. Bardot.

            In June 2013 won the Athens Academy Scholarship for a post Degree in Classical Singing.

            In August 2013 attended the “Berlin Opera Studio”, performing in Berlin and Bayreuth, Germany.

            She has attended Masterclasses and Classical Singing lessons with: Jeanette Pilou, Dimitris Kavrakos, Eilana Lappalainen, Peter Svensson, Michelle Breedt, Keith-Ikaya Purdy, Graciela Araya, Anooshah Goleshorkhi,, G. Soutis and Fotini Kostopoulou.

She holds a Hotel & Tourism Management Degree,  Proficiency in English and basic knowledge of Italian, French, Spanish and German.
